Lord yes. Part of the core thesis of my higher ed book was the need to change these relationships so leadership and institutions could be more resilient, rather than having to compete for attention and prestige. The marketplace has been an unequivocally bad place for education.

I actually doubted this one was real, it seemed too much like what I would make up to illustrate how stupid they are. But, like, there we go (x.com/SecWar/statu...).

Your regular reminder that cops don't actually justify their existence or enormous budgets by solving much crime.

Approximately 11% of all serious crimes result in an arrest, and about 2% end in a conviction.

There was an old website called "write or die" ("by Dr. Wicked" iirc) that had a similar schtick, though you didn't write with a prompt, which I used sometimes to freewrite and get unstuck. It was marginally useful, but at least it had a mordant sense of humor. This one doesn't sound fun at all.

Say what you will about the worst members of the Roberts Court, but they all make sure their wives are in on the grift.

Jane Roberts, Martha Alito and Ginni Thomas are equal partners with their husbands in the grand project of destroying the United States and enriching themselves in the process.

One of the Sandy Hook families lives in hiding 1500 mi away from their baby’s grave due to people stalking them.

The graves of multiple children have been defaced.

One of the fathers had to submit DNA evidence to prove his son was a REAL HUMAN BEING after Alex Jones’ book said he never existed.

It is sort of amazing and depressing that the cause of so much political slop is not attempts to influence elections but instead people just trying to make money off American rage.
