Very excited for this. My only hope is that Jesse remains a playable character. CONTROL was my favorite game of 2019 for many reasons, but one of the main rations was the writing of Jesse and the rest of the women in the incredibly gender-equal cast. I definitely agree that it comes a BIT out of left field and needed more to make it land solidly but the scene was about Edgwin realizing that HE wanted his wife back, but Kira wanted her family, and her family is Holga. He has to finally put his daughter first.

It feels so weird to talk to one of my biggest inspirations as a writer (hi refrigerator monologues changed my life thank you for l writing it) like this but…when I watched the film, Holga was actually that kid’s mom in all the ways that mattered, and that’s what that wordless discussion was about
