The vibes were off all day to the extent that I began to feel cursed until I caught a glimpse of a flying squirrel out of the corner of my eye and as I did, its little magic carpet body came swooping toward me and passed directly over my head and it felt like a kind of blessing.

I went out looking for flying squirrels, but all I got was rabbits.

By the time I saw "Psycho" (as a teen, I think), I'd already seen the three biggest surprise moments in clips on TV. So I've always wondered what it would be like to see it and actually be surprised!

This is one of the first images - published in 1488 - of the later called #Dracula. A short 🧵 of the media history of the legend.

And this is how Dracula looked like in 1560. Well, the Augsburg-based publisher of "Von dem Dracole Wayda dem grossen Tyrannen" (Augsburg 1560) clearly set a different note - or was lacking the older images. However, the media echo was running.

"Earlier this year, a Serve robot named Veruca was cruising down the sidewalk near the CTA’s Chicago Blue Line stop when it approached the station’s entrance and tumbled down the subway stairs." We bet Veruca was salty about that!

1/3 A lot of this has to do with a corresponding movement to limit child labor & make school compulsory for kids. If you're gonna do that, you've got to have a decent place in which to educate those kids, & the architecture itself should speak to the importance of what's happening in the building.

Contrary to what Kash Patel thinks, “we told you this was false and you printed it anyway” is not proof of actual malice when an outlet has reason to believe the story is true.

The entitlement of these guys is off the charts. His denial isn’t worth any more than someone else’s claim.

A garage door is painted with the Chicago city flag (blue and white stripes, with four six-pointed red stars) and cartoon characters saying "Hello" in various languages. Next to the garage, the gate of a driveway has three signs on it. One says "Hands Off Chicago." Another says: "ICE OUT! Fuera ICE!" And the third has a red "X" over a yellow crown.
