got sent home early before all hell breaks loose, apparently KC is now in the bullseye. got some snackies, got my emergency kit by the door, zip tied some loose fence posts so the whole thing doesn't blow away. they're talking about potato sized hail, which is a new one for me on the Hail Scale.

KC's little streetcar is so deeply midwest and I love it. it was packed today (no kings, comic con, asian food fest, etc) and the poor driver at every stop was getting on the intercom like "sorry we can't fit any more people :( there'll be another streetcar....at some point. sorry :( good luck"
