The way profit maxxing corpo culture has invaded every form of art through algorithms pushing people into daily posting is really weighing on me lately. Efficiency and regularity of making "content" being prized above all else feels so grim, man.

It’s a bit stressful in the first moving period (moved from Michigan to Sweden) but you’ll adapt and feel better about the new area. Just takes a bit of time. I also recommend calling loved ones if you feel lonely etc. 🫂💖

I still think one of the most annoying things I hear about games is, “this game is a fever dream” or “the makers of this game were on drugs.”
So pretty much ~90% or so of games. It’s called art. People are creative. I mean shit, Mario falls in this category and I don’t hear anything about that.

Looked into it on the art side and it was out of my control. It’s a code issue and our devs have been swamped and had to prioritize more game breaking bugs.
I think my only qualm is the recruitment system. There’s been a couple times I’ve had to grind to get a specific Yokai job much has been a bit annoying. Wonder if they improved that in the later games?
Been seeing some lil crocuses pop up out of the ground recently. Always cheers me up seeing early perennials 💖😭💐

I think to combat this is to introduce some fun visuals, throw in some fun humor or conflict. Been playing the original Animal Crossing and I love that some of the villagers are just mean to you in a funny way. It’s good to have a bit of conflict!
I think that’s why I always encourage interesting or odd games. To me stuff like Katamari and Hylics are cozy in their own sense. I guess it depends on how we define cozy? But yeah the aesthetic has for sure focused on that tradwife friendly community sim.
