Thank you for organizing this. I'm writing today. I have been a REI member since the 1970's, I expect others are long-time customers, too - maybe they will listen to us.

Happy to live under your benevolent mayorship!! Thank you for being such a joyful voice for the fandom, even for us "lurkers"!

It was a WONDERFUL ride. Thank you for leading the way in bringing them to life with all the snark, steadfast fight and heart - and for your connection to and support of the fandom! Always an EARPER! #WynonnaEarp

A fallen redwood stump hosts a variety of mushrooms and fungi - yellow and wavey between the tiny green ferns.

Years ago, we adopted a kitten found near our office. Would return to feral state when stressed. At the vet, we noticed that there was a blue dot on Chip's file. We asked "why a dot?", they said "that means he has issues". We then asked, "why 3 dots?"... they said, "Chip has LOTS of issues."

A striking Central California sunset during the recent storms. The sky shows grey storm clouds with a yellow-orange sunset breaking through over the Coastal Range of mountains.

Went to USC during that time (late 70's/early 80's). The Hollywood sign was only 5-6 miles away as the crow flies, but it was a special, rare day when you could actually see it from campus!

My most favorite kiosk name was on Hwy 395 in the high desert/eastern Sierra in California. Called "Inyo Cup" in a small town in Inyo County! Sadly, no longer there to make me laugh as I would motor by!

Read the whole series! Made a list of the most intriguing parks she described in such wonderful detail. The mysteries were good, too. Future road trips!!

A rocky High Sierra trail disappears over a low rise. High altitude flowering shrubs are to the left with a daisy-like yellow flowering plant to the right. Some snow still remains on the distant mountain tops.

Lisa, do they have any natural predators? I did not realize until your video how their movement seems quite limited. Thanks!

A small acrylic paperweight that contains a piece of old wood from Capt. Cousteau's ship "Calypso". It includes the quote "Calypso! One look at her was all it took to decide that she would become my ship...I will sail with her, she will become my home, my universe..." The paperweight was given to anybody who donated to the upgrade and retrofit of the Calypso circa early 1980's.

Saw these for the first time a few months ago in the redwood forests at the coast. Had no idea what they were, and I never followed through to find out. Thanks, Carson, now I know their name!
