I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
I feel like I’m crazy (and of course it’s anecdotal as hell ) but I really do think that Bluesky - while still being annoying, make no mistake - is by far the least annoying of the big three microblogging websites.
Quality Time is my primary love language, so these short ass TV seasons make me feel cheated, like I never get to form a real bond with characters anymore. At least give me 13 episode seasons again!!
Like, it totally would’ve worked if a peace treaty had been accomplished, but as is it feels flippant, flimsy, and forced.
And then! Kate’s “pick it up!” thing at the end felt like it trivialized the whole point of the series! RTD needs someone doublechecking his scripts for head-up-own-ass moments.
Finally got a chance to watch THE WAR BETWEEN THE LAND AND THE SEA; loved it up til the last 7 min or so. I get RTD’s desire to cushion the blow of humanity’s “win”, but the silliness of the main romantic connection fails to land as sweet & lighthearted when we’ve just witnessed a global g*nocide?
