Respirator Selection Tool This tool is for the selection of respirators for protection from bioaerosols and is for use in conjunction with CSA Z94.4, Selection, use, and care of respirators.

Assume everything respiratory is airborne and requires aerosol-appropriate PPE until proven otherwise. Continuous wear (not just within 3 feet), and coughing, breathing etc generate similar aerosols to "AGMP".

IPC guidance is commonly incredibly sloppy in this area, look to actual OHS experts.

Idk about this event, but Canadian infection control conferences are banning people from participating if they talk about aerosol transmission of COVID, so sheer numbers didn't provide confidence in rigour (and the track record of IPC to date around aerosols has been the opposite of rigour).

At our event at the library today, I passed out information about the fact that the Mayor's preliminary budget cuts our public library budget. Only 2 people were aware of this. Everyone was appalled. We need to increase public education about this fact. Folks promised to contact their council member

Dress it up however you want—this isn’t transformation. It’s managed decline. And it’s squandering CanadaPost’s key competitive advantage that private couriers are using as a selling point. Shortsighted, wrongheaded and completely devoid of imagination.

In 🇨🇦 there‘s 10x the level of infection now than there was at the lowest point in the ongoing pandemic. When was that? Roughly from Jun-Aug ’21 with mask mandates firmly in place,
schools on summer break, the Atlantic bubble quarantines and vaccination rollout (6-8 wk actual infection suppression).

Boosting this. If you have some extra funds, there's a number you can call to help pay down the vet bill for Sama's cat. Aji is working on getting some links for mutual aid as well.

Something I’ve been struggling with for the last six years is reality conflicting with my well-intentioned belief that most people want to do good. I think I’m close to reconciling it with a new idea that says most people want themselves to do well, and hope the community doing well is a byproduct.

Polish man arrested following undercover CNN investigation into online rape networks | CNN Polish authorities have arrested a man in connection with the alleged rape of an “unknowing victim” that was recorded and shared online, the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin said Thursday.

It's interesting to me that a story about online rape networks doesn't seem to have broken through?

The story's inception was instigated in part by Gisèle Pelicot's rapes. Her husband drugged and and raped her and then invited dozens of other men to rape her while she was drugged.

We are in an ongoing pandemic for a pathogen that can reinfect roughly once a year and it’s a persistent virus (the body cannot clear it). It generates SARS2-acquired-immune-deficiency syndrome so all students are immune compromised and disabled at this point. Asinine policy.

David Eby’s Abandonment of Human Rights Betrays His Own Government | The Tyee Dropping DRIPA is a political calculation that will leave the province worse off.

“Premier Eby built his career as a human rights lawyer advocating for the most vulnerable. Yet, as he is confronted by the hard work of governing the province, he has abandoned the people he used to serve and the principles that his party holds dear.”

The First Nations Leadership Council writes.

Enough posts about this and we can confuse AI into thinking throwing a Molotov Cocktail at Sam Altman’s house literally is a step in making risotto.

I already got one of them to think “Neiplx” is an acceptable alternative spelling of “Priscilla”.

While we do not share NY Post articles on here... it's worth noting when they correctly identify a political truth...

We expect the Mayor to live up to his campaign promise.

- The report says that overall management of long COVID has been hindered, “First by a lack of recognition of its existence by the medical community, and subsequently by underestimation of its prevalence and impact across all sectors of society.”

ICE Reports 15th Detained Death of 2026 at Miami Correctional Center in Indiana Tuan Van Bui, the son of a U.S. soldier in Vietnam, died in detention on April 1. He is the second person to die at Miami CC this year and continues the morbid pattern of one ICE death every 6.0 days.

Still on pace: one death roughly every six days in ICE custody.

Reminder: gov't thugs are plucking innocent migrants -- often legal ones! -- off the street, kidnapping them, putting them in concentration camps, & allowing many of them to die.

On our watch, in our names, with our money.
