A bit like how you should avoid prefixing alt text with "an image", prefixing/suffixing <nav> labels with "navigation" should be avoided too.

Just read the intro and I'm already locked in.
> When design decisions are made in tools that have no concept of state, of time, of viewport, of the real unpredictability of content, you stop designing for the Web. You design a fiction of the Web.
Thanks Matthias. I've been nodding so much my neck hurts now.
The effort needed to properly document design tokens is getting lower every day 💯
If you're using @astro.build you may have noticed that you can't use @storybook.js.org to document your Astro components.
Things have changed lately thanks to github.com/slawekkolodz....
I'll give storybook-astro.org a try this week and so should you 🎉

not an april fools joke: svelte is no longer just a web framework (or rather, won't be once we merge @paolo.ricciuti.me's magnum opus). have seen some extremely cool demos of this
I spent 2 months learning about quantization and am extremely proud of the post I've written about it. I think these are some of the nicest visuals I've ever made, and I love how this compression technique invented in 1898 is being used on the bleeding edge in 2026.

What issues did you find with MUI? I'm also in charge of a MUI React library so I'm interested in what you found.
I love the design and the implicit tagline 👏
I’m excited to announce the 1̶s̶t̶ 7th release candidate of Elena today! 🫶
Elena is a simple, tiny library for building Progressive Web Components. Unlike most web component libraries, Elena doesn’t force JavaScript for everything.
Crafted with love and care using HTML, CSS & plain JS: elenajs.com
I sat down with Claude Code to build a test analyser. Our DX survey keeps flagging test efficiency, and I had a hunch our test pyramid was off. Wrote it up with some interactive bits.

OK I'll wait for it then. Thanks ✌️
📚 Continuing my series about design-systems, today I wrote about why I believe data-testid is a bad practice and and how role-based selectors actually help ensure your app is accessible.
Congrats 👏🤩
I live in France. Is there anyway i can have this shipped here?
A few dozen photos were taken. This was the most "on brand" photo. 😅

My theory is that LLMs magnify existing organizational issues
If your org already does high quality work, has a writing culture, LLMs can provide lots of leverage applied thoughtfully.
If your org already couldn’t communicate well… you’re now in the danger zone
