When you're done with your protest signs, stop by Mischief Toy Store-the drop off box is just inside the front door. They're open Tues-Sat 11-8 and Sun 11-5 (closed Mondays) at 818 Grand Ave. Pick up some resistance stickers, a new board game, or a pickled candy egg while you're there. Actually, maybe skip the pickled candy egg. But don't skip donating your sign! We'll be cataloguing all signs in a publicly accessible digital archive of resistance art, and curating a selection in our (free to enter) museum exhibit. Thanks, Mischief Toys!

So yeah it'll be great if we ever get our $1173 back. We'll find something worthwhile to do with it if we do. But the whole point was trying to stop Trump from becoming a tyrant king. That's the narrative we wish the media understood. #NoKings

Meanwhile, Trump's used his tariffs to fund a massive ICE surge here in MN and throughout the country. And he's used them to manipulate markets and intimidate allies. The consequences will take decades to overcome.

But price increases weren't the worst impact. We've been dealing with suppliers shrinking catalogs, leaving the market, or selling out to larger companies. We've seen a drastic decline in new product development. We've lost access to niche toymakers in Japan, Canada, & the EU.

We're not direct importers, so we don't pay tariffs directly. In fact, even tho we won our lawsuit, we can only document $1173.56 in tariff costs that vendors passed on directly to us via a line item on an invoice. The vast majority of vendors simply raised their prices.

We're happy to be quoted here, but when we joined the lawsuit against Trump's illegal tariffs almost a year ago, it wasn't about the money. It was about fighting Trump's fascist agenda and his unending grift.

Error not errata propels moth to flame, its folly misjudged candle for moon. It flies not upon a whim, see? Candle and flame yet abide, unthinking, unwitnessing insect's demise. Knowing not how long the wick.
