Yo it’s that game I’ve been working on!

Screenshot of the email stating my application for indefinite leave to remain has been approved.
Just got my Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the United Kingdom. This means I can stay indefinitely, no longer have to deal with visas, and can work anywhere.
Google maps search result of “little”. The first thing that popped up is Little Saint James.
I’m not even in the western hemisphere and this is the first thing that pops up when I type Little” into Google Maps… 🫠
As an American game developer living and working in England, I also don’t feel safe in the US. I received enough racism for being Latino growing up in Florida to know where I am not welcome.

New year, new list of completed of video games. Here’s to 2026’s gaming journey! 🎮
A little late, but here are end of year gaming wraps for all the major platforms.
A picture of an open book with a download code of the video game Anthem being used as a bookmark.
I was packing up some books and noticed a bookmark sticking out of one the books. I usually use old imax tickets as bookmarks and was curious what move it was. Lo and behold it’s a download code for Anthem on its death day. Rest in Peace, I’m sorry I never played you.
I’m glad the recent update added content parity with outfits and missions across platforms. There was the Hideo Kojima mission that was exclusive to Sony consoles and I believe console exclusive pre-order outfits.
2025 is over and I completed 40 games this year. I definitely would not have remembered them all if I did not write them down. Here is the final list by order of completion.
40. Fortnite
Just so I can hit 40, I’m adding Fortnite. I did complete every battle pass this year so it counts.
39. Wheel World
A good and chill time. It was very zen riding around and listening to that soundtrack. The bike parts can drastically change how the bike handle which lead to some fun experimentation.
38. Star Wars Outlaws
The main quests in the game were great, but the progression grind was very tedious. I really hope the game gets a sequel or at least a new game+.
37. Princess Peach Showtime
I really enjoyed all of the different mechanics. There were detective levels that had light LA Noire systems, ice skating, cooking, rhythm games, and beat em ups. Lots of variety and theatre presentation really helped sell everything. Wish it was a bit more challenging.
36. Horses
I agree with most of the sentiment online. It shouldn’t have been banned on Steam & Epic. Good game, I enjoyed the silent film dialogue and the little live action shots of doing the farm work.
35. Keeper
Very late on this post. I finished it shortly after launch. I loved 3C’s. Whenever the lighthouse changed, the movement and controls reflected it.
Understanding Comics is such a good read!
I played the official BOTW VR update with labo and I don’t recommend it. Hopefully this is better.
I plan on playing it again as well at some point early next year.
I love this game. My old manager at EB Games broke the disk in front of me because I wanted to buy it but EB Games considered it garbage.
Sometimes devs have to “Bridge the Vision Gap” for people in leadership roles that struggle with imagination. But yes, in a proper setting, placeholder assets should be clearly marked.

Yoooo Atomfall got nominated for a Game Award, Innovation in Accessibility. Congrats @cariwatterton.bsky.social for all of your hard work!
New Simpsons season in Fortnite is great. This is probably one of my funniest Victory Royale’s in the game.
I interviewed for a position at Hardsuit Labs in September 2020. During the interview they told me the game was done and if I was hired I’d only be polishing existing work. They said this to keep my expectations in check about the work I would be doing. The whole interview process was really bad.
Yeah, if you like old school Resident Evil, it’s great. Plus the game is nice and short. Takes about 4 hours.
34. God of War: Ghost of Sparta
It’s crazy that this is a PSP game, it plays like the PS2 versions. This game has been in my backlog for ages. It was nice to finally meet Kratos’s brother, after hearing him mentioned in several other games.
33. Crow Country
In short, I loved it. I enjoyed the gameplay more than I thought I would. I don’t recall an isometric horror game playing this good. I see me playing this game gunning again at some point to get that S rank rating.
32. Sonic Racing Crossworlds
I’ve learned that if someone says they are moderate or not political they are more than likely pro brexit and/or anti immigrant.
31. Peak
Does it count as beating the game if your friends didn’t give you a hand up? Well I’m going to say yes. First ascent done and hopefully more to come. Great game, very approachable and difficult in the right ways.
