if you had told Hawks fans last week that Alexander-Walker and Jalen Johnson would shoot a combined 25-of-60 (41%) from the floor, including 8-for-23 from downtown, over the first two games, they would have assumed they'd be down 0-2

He is the only Knick in franchise history to tally more than 25 points, more than 25 rebounds and more than 10 assists over NY’s first two playoff games in a postseason.
The only other players to match or exceed these totals over two games this decade are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic.
Another incredible performance from Josh Hart in Game 2, which will be forgotten b/c of the loss.
Hart has been the best player in this series thus far.
shouldn't have to post this - as all New Yorkers and Knicks fans already know it - but those aren't Knicks fans jumping around outside MSG (esp after a loss) - those are kids/clowns/clout-chasers hoping to become part of some viral clip they can forward to thier friends.
Playoff series are all about adjustments and counters. Credit to Quin Snyder and the Hawks' coaching staff for arguably making the most impactful improvisation in Game 2 by having Kuminga check Towns in the second half / 4Q.
KAT has scored just two points (1-of-3 FGs) across 23 possessions in this series when Kuminga has been the primary defender on him.
Conversely, KAT has scored 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting when defended by Onyeka Okongwu or Dyson Daniels.
but a reminder - Reggie still sucked

disgusting
hey, as long as it's not one of his kids, or a child of one of his rich friends that gets killed or maimed... oh well. Just the cost of doing business in an unnecessary war.
(BTW, the US still hasn't taken responsibility for bombing a school and killing 150+ students)
Last night was the first time the Knicks blew a double-digit lead heading into the fourth quarter of a playoff game since Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals vs. the Pacers (June 1, 1994).
That was the infamous Reggie Choke Sign Game

The Knicks submitted their injury report for Game 1 and OG Anunoby is not listed.
Confirmation he’s good to go for Saturday’s game vs. Atlanta.
Tyler Kolek, who missed the final 4 games of the regular season, has also been removed from the injury report.
NY at full strength.
The 2026 New York Knicks had the best 4th quarter net rating of any NBA team in the play-by-play era
I can't say this list of teams below is particularly meaningful, but hey, it's something!

We reviewed an 18-page report detailing the second-by-second surveillance of a trans woman. They followed her as she went in and out of the bathroom, even though she posed 'no threat."
It's one of a bunch of new details in this deep dive that @robertsilverman.bsky.social and I took for @wired.com

Knicks vs. Hawks Series Preview (Part 2) and Prediction

Mitch Rob averaged a league-leading 22.2 rebounds per 100 possessions this season, including a mind-boggling 10.6 on the offensive glass.
That’s an offensive rebound rate of 23.9%, which means Robinson grabs nearly a quarter of all Knicks' misses when he’s on the floor.
* More assists than Anthony Edwards or Isaiah Hartenstein
* More points than Stephen Curry or LaMelo Ball
* More made 3-pointers than Andrew Nembhard or Nikola Vučević
* A higher plus/minus than Jaylen Brown or Donovan Mitchell
not bad for a "bad" year
Karl-Anthony Towns finished the 2025-26 regular season with:
* More rebounds than Nikola Jokić or Victor Wembanyama
* More steals than Evan Mobley or Rudy Gobert
* More double-doubles than everyone in the NBA
Coming into this season, no player in NBA history had ever averaged more than 6.5 offensive rebounds and more than 2.0 blocks per-36 minutes.
This season, Mitchell Robinson averaged 7.7 (!!) offensive rebounds and 2.1 blocks per-36 minutes.
Onyeka Okongwu is one of only three players (along with Derrick White and Jaren Jackson Jr.) in the league this season (and the first Hawk ever) to average more than 1 steal, 1 swat and 1.5 treys per game.
