The Horsehead Nebula (IC 434) was my little side project in late winter; the total exposure time of this image is 7h 49min (North is left). Processing turned out to be surprisingly difficult, since the nearby star Alnitak left a lot of reflections in the field of view 🔭

Hello all #astrophotography aficionados! Here's M63 shot with my friend Alex who's not on BS. We used same scopes but different cams. Combining our images gives this deep field with lots of small galaxies. What do you see @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ? Details over here: www.astrobin.com/fgk1qm/

Wide-field astrophotography of the Orion region: at lower left, the orange glow of the Flame Nebula near a bright blue star; at upper right, the pink and violet Orion Nebula (M42) with surrounding blue reflection nebulae. The field is filled with dense stars and dark dust lanes, captured with high contrast and fine detail.

Not giving up with my son, despite the night lights of the beautiful city of Padova..

From the Flame Nebula to Orion Nebula hundreds of images gathered (2.5h in total) and aligned until Orion emerged, unfolding its light in a slow, silent bloom ✨

Picture of the stars in the Orion's belt.

Picture of the stars in the Orion's belt.

A nice ✨ night, and w/ my son i pointed our Nikon D750 (+300mm nikkor lens) to the magic Orion's belt.

~4300s exposure in 8'' shots, Bortle 6-7 sky, Padova, no filters.

Not the best Pic out there, I but to our eyes it's poetic.

Capella shining bright tonight. What looks like a single star is actually a multiple star system about 43 light years away. The light in this image left that system back in the early 1980s. That warm golden glow comes from giant stars much larger than our Sun. @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social #star
