Thank you!

Good suggestions should always be welcomed. Perhaps King Charles and the British Government could refrain from validating the Trump regime by cancelling the planned state visit.

Sends a chill down the spine that white supremacists are strong enough again to sway the Department of Justice of the United States of America.

Photographs of Klansmen in their local hoods made in 1990 as a series by Andres Serrano shown at Geffen MOCA in LA as part of the Monuments show.

Excellent precedent.

Love love love the artist formerly known as Prince and delighted Minnesota lifts him up as one the State's proudest boast. But my goodness, that statue is an insult. He deserves something along the lines of the MLK monument in D.C.

You don't get to consider winning when you venture into a losing game, as we did.

At least one a month I have the need to lift myself up with an Artist Formerly Known as Prince clip and it's never just one. Two favorites, of course, his Super Bowl in the rain performance and the Harrison induction at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in which he gifted George's son with pure love.

@hcrichardson.bsky.social can provide better insight but back in the day if you denied the Declaration of Independence and validity of the Constitution you could claim you were a Royalist but you would still be a traitor to the United States. Warsh can be a MAGA loyalist but also a traitor.

Could someone explain to me, much less to the Iranian diplomats with loads of international negotiating experience (Kushner Vance and Witcoff have none) how there can be a cease fire while there is an active persistent violent act of war on the part of the United States a/k/a a naval blockade.

Before I saw the splc link in your second sentence I thought the "Holy shit" would have meant an Epstein related indictment - - but now its 180 degrees opposite after spinning around ten times, Jes*s Chri*t WTF!

Thanks for the cite. Uncertain whether it includes State LE and not just local but that's an easy fix. There is a State Constitutional issue with the prohibition applying to school hires that might go away it seems if limited to school LE positions.

Has this idiotic Secty of Mayhem never visited the facilities in which the "troops" are billeted? On any ship, the bunks are triple stacked with a yard of separation between the stacks. In a fortified bunker squeezed shoulder to shoulder, in a tank with a crew of 4 with more room used for ammo...etc

2/2 ... ruling. A Costco, for ex, could just give each member a store credit in the amount of the bonus divided by number of members. Others can devise fair and meaningful ways to redistribute to their customers the returned tariff payments. Companies would get rewarded with respect. Rare for them.

1/2 Pretty much any company getting back tariff $$ they paid would be receiving an unexpected bonus. By now they have fully integrated the paid tariffs into their balance sheets and financial records and virtually none would have had the audacity to claim a receivable before the Sup Ct ...

A Genocide Scholar Asks “What Went Wrong” in Israel The Israeli historian Omer Bartov argues in his new book that a “state ideology” of Zionism has led to what he calls genocide in Gaza.

In a similar vein but more scholarly, an expiation for why Israeli opinion is as it may be these days (and equally troublesome to hear)…

Except the Congress failed to stop it as a war with its failed vote under the war powers act.... so what wasn't a war is now probably best conceded to be a war after all.

Let's try more work dumping Trump by impeachment or 25th Amend. That example along with Orban, Bolsonaro, Yoon Suk Yeol (S. Korea) all far more effective internationally.

In the U.S., May 1. General strike, no commercial transactions, protest in the streets. Demand end to Trump and Rs' regime.

Got that. He's a serious guy.

Frankly, silly legislation and a total waste of time diverting energy away from real reforms in privacy law. The government surveillance by the state and the city of New York far exceeds that of public facing businesses. Gov use is far more damaging with higher potential for data theft.

Sadly, it's what DT and Heritage want. States picking the cost of all federal social benefit programs while the Fed still taxes them at the same rates (except for their billionaires and corporations). Hope @xavierbecerra.bsky.social platform includes a claw back of taxes going to the Feds.

Real service. Proud of them all.

It was Vietnam Veterans Against The War that were the tipping point in ending the Vietnam War.

I truly hate to "like" something coming from a regime that is even worse than the current R Admin and DT. The Iranian leadership in the name of ideology suppresses its own people in cruel and frequently fatal attacks at a level that surpasses the same approach for greed by the R's in the US.

Problem with that. They don't need a degree or experience to just repeat over and over the four words: "Donald Trump lied again." It's a classic application to use AI to supplant human labor and costs.

There was a plan - just not ours - and it was "asked for" from Trump in return, probably, for the Trump Riviera in Gaza's former coast.

The object was to defang the Iranian threat to Israel and, in the view of maybe a couple of Gulf states, defang their threat to the Gulf.

Problem: US = idiots.

Every President, every single one, was a better president than DT. So, Yes.

May I suggest that you commit to a law that prevents not just State LE investigative support of ICE but more critically prevents a State or Local CA LE officer from moonlighting for ICE and prevents any of those LE organizations from ever hiring anyone who was an ICE, CBP or other DHS officer
