When a young momma cat has finished providing for her babies, it is important to give them time, space and comfort as they themselves transition from this huge endeavor. Edna has been through a lot in the past few weeks, but will soon be ready for her own forever family.
10 year-old Toto arrived at the shelter dirty and very thin. This sweet, gentle boy did well with other dogs and is very responsive and affectionate. The shelter vets ran tests and were concerned that he is in need of fospice care. Thanks to our SVPP fospice foster, Toto is receiving excellent care.

Rosie entered the shelter as a stray, but it soon became clear that she is a friendly cat and needs a home. Thanks to a new SVPP foster family, Rosie is already settling into life as a loved foster. This gorgeous girl will soon be ready for her forever family!

Sweet little Spot was found on the streets of San Jose by a Good Samaritan who saw that he was unable to walk. He has regained limited mobility, and we do hope he will regain more. He has a loving foster to adopt family taking care of him and he will receive the best medical support we can provide.

We don't know how little Thumper's front leg was badly broken, but we are so grateful to the veterinary team at the County of Santa Clara Shelter who completed the front leg amputation that will give this sweet boy a pain free life! This gorgeous boy will soon be ready to join his forever family!

Silicon Valley Pet Project's Fospice Program gives love and dignity to elderly and sick animals who need a caring, supportive home where they can spend their final chapters. Fospice fosters are a special group, and we are so grateful to them so we can give pets like Natalie the love they deserve.
When Mack arrived at SVPP he had multiple eye issues, his skin and ears were inflamed and infected, and he'd had a very rough stay in the shelter. After TLC and care, this young boy is happy, healthy and ready to share all of his new skills and goofiness with a forever family! Apply to meet Mack!
