Do you know how our elections work?

Democrats haven't really delivered much either though. In the last 40 years one of the very biggest wins they have is UNPAID family & medical leave. Another is the Heritage Foundation's healthcare plan. Their track record for people under 50 is terrible.

I think there is a real chance that it is only 4 years just like 2021-2024.

You do nothing with it because "You stupid, dumb-ass motherfuckers are a vital part of us forming a winning coalition" (and this has generally been the tone of these opinions) is not a coherent message. Also we should not be grateful for any of our politicians.

This plus a general collapse of the Dem's base because of genocide is the entirety of why she lost.

This is not what happened. The Democrats insisted the economy was great the whole time Biden was in office and the electorate didn't buy it. Trump acknowledged that jobs and prices were problems and said tariffs would fix it. Harris and Biden were adamant those were non-issues.

Trump acknowledged that where were problems with the status quo. Harris ran a campaign that essentially declared that things were as good as they could get. This is the way in which he was "better." He ran a better campaign that acknowledged that people were unhappy. She didn't.

And I voted for him. Really wanted him to win. Was super disappointed that he didn't win. But that election voters gave him but he wouldn't fight for it.

It was Gore's unwillingness to fight for a victory in Congress that lost that election. He would have won, but he was too much of a coward to go for it. That was the election where voters had absolutely nothing to do with outcome. Like legitimately nothing at all.

Disappearing people, including US citizens, with ICE is irrelevant to suppressing Democracy? The bipartisan 25 year effort to bulk up the policing arm of the federal government isn't relevant to their ability to suppress democracy? I'm pretty sure you are wrong.

You can think that about me if you want. I don't give a shit. But we were talking about how much money political parties waste and the amount of effort I put in to things seems irrelevant to that conversation.

So you are wrong. The FBI, ICE, Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security all were created after 1900 and none of it is necessary.

Dems helped to build up the institutions he will use to subvert democracy and retain power so why would I trust them now?

Thanks for being the guy I was talking about

He had years.

Yeah I mean that is so much more suspicious than Harris spending $2,000,000,000 on losing.

3 hours ago 0 0 1 0

If he started too late he infact never tried.

Because they have turned in to Bush era Republicans. Don't forget that. It is a key part of why I want them to lose.

Harris stands far closer to Trump when it comes to policy than the candidate I voted for so if I were you I'd check what her platform was again just to see how much of this she also would have done.

The blood on my hands comes from having voted for Joe Biden. I learned my lesson there.

3 hours ago 0 0 1 0

No. I acted like it was a disaster because his opponent was actively supporting genocide and only promised more of it to come.

3 hours ago 0 0 3 0

Yes. I don't want people to vote for Democrats because they are fundamentally evil. Now sure, "less" evil than Republicans. But I would rather no one ever voted D or R again.

This is legitimately funny

Hilarious that I, a normal third party voter in a solidly Dem state, was somehow more responsible for the 2024 presidential loss of Kamala Harris than either Harris or Biden. I'm apparently far more powerful than I realized.

Then look up the effect of negative campaigning. It doesn't help the candidate running the ads, but it suppresses the turnout of the other candidate. That's all you are doing here.

3 hours ago 1 0 1 0

Third parties are in every level of government except the presidency and the only reason there hasn't been a third party president is that there haven't been very many presidents. Third parties win about 1-2% of the time. I think that is currently more likely than Democrats doing anything useful.

Thanks for being that guy

This might be how you vote. But it is a small minority of voters who actually go to the polls to vote against instead of for someone.

3 hours ago 0 0 1 0

This is not how voting works

"Superior to Trump" is simply not the bar. There has to be reason to vote for his opponent or people won't turn out. This is not the fault of people who do not turn out. It is the fault of the party offering nothing.
