Of course. On so it rolls on ...

If Nigel Farage does ever become Prime Minister, do you think the media will apply the same level of constant scrutiny and hatred to him as some parts do to Keir Starmer?

Turns out the Guardian scoop was wrong. And the journalists, commentators and all experts who've been rolled out to tell us about the scoop were all wrong.

And they keep saying she's the sane and sensible one.

Good luck. If only you could take some ear plugs because you know whatever they spout, it'll be nasty divisive nonsense that's not in the community's interests but theirs.

“Cecilia Payne’s was the most brilliant PhD thesis ever written in astronomy”
- Otto Struve, 1960

Not only did she invent a field - astrophysics - she discovered what the Universe is made of: 98% hydrogen and helium

(It would take another woman to prove this accounts for only 1/6th of all matter)

Olly Robbins made the judgment that Mandelson was a borderline case. He apparently didn’t even code that Mandelson failed developed vetting on a red. How on earth could that happen? He claims quaking acquiescence to alleged Number 10 bullying without adducing any contemporaneous notes to support it.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk Truly bizarre that the PM is pilloried for putting right a mistake. Like the rest of Europe we’re already in a hybrid war with Russia. A deranged POTUS and adjudicated sexual abuser, who hatesUK/Europe, sits in Washington DC and laughs. It’s time we got a grip.

The Civil Service Code is there for a reason. Seniority does not exempt any Civil Servant from its obligations. Minute - push back and escalate. This was national security.

🔴 Britain’s Solar Revolution Is Here and We Should Be Shouting It From the Rooftops

Ed Miliband is helping to turn the country into a nation of ‘solar zealots’ and I'm enthusiastically along for the ride. Thankfully I'm not alone.

Antisemitic attacks targeting London’s Jewish communities are shameful and have no place in our city.

We’re working closely with the Met, Community Security Trust and faith organisations to bring those responsible to justice.

London will always be a city that stands together against hate.

Good thread. There's tons a serious leftist govt could do whilst running a tight fiscal policy, as I said here: chrisdillow.substack.com/p/some-lefti... Social democrats' habit of viewing economic policy only through a "tax & spend" lens is a barrier to serious thinking about the economy.

The revisiting the Mandelson saga yet again is a total witch hunt. Robbins debunked the faux days long outraged debate over whether Starmer lied. So now they move onto the another non story. It's so obvious what they're doing. We're no longer a serious country.

The Guardian, like the rest of the UK media, are just fixated on irritating detail about revisiting the Mandelson saga just for the drama and engagement.

Nothing on the Guardian's front page about what's planned on the price of UK energy and moving away from the link to gas prices??? Nothing.

Just let the fossil fuel lobby win and climate emergency ignored? Ignore the positive cost of living implications?

Kevin Warsh just lost me. He argues he's going to be an independent Fed Chair, but refuses to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election. If you can't state simple facts when you're in the political spotlight, you aren't independent. You're a coward.

Telegraph newspaper editorial on Mandelson's appointment in December 2024 versus editorial today

1 day ago 944 420 33 26

Stop playing us. This is nonsense. Yes Mandelson was a v. bad appointment.

But which allies have we not stood firm with?

Starmer's been working closely with allies.

The consequences of Brexit have been a real hindrance but I'd say austerity had a real impacts on the vote. Own austerity.

Nat was an absolutely phenomenal campaigner for the assisted dying bill. I know he'd be furious at the small number of peers who, because they are opposed in principle, are blocking a vote in the Lords and overturning the will of the Commons.

Oh my goodness. That's awful. If only we could trust the BBC to show some integrity. This is bullying and cruel.

Thanks. It comes to something when you can't even trust the BBC.

Today I’m remembering the exact same campaign the media ran against Gordon Brown to unseat him, an intelligent and compassionate leader.

Extraordinary? I know what's extraordinary. The British media keeping on and on about this. First it's this detail, then it's the next detail and now it's this detail. I feel like I'm being played. In fact I know I'm being played. Where to go for reliable news these days??

And Trump's supporters in British politics and media. They've played being 'outraged' again over the Mandelson appointment yet lauded the evil, narcissistic, corrupt Trump, the former close friend of Epstein. Badenoch and Farage should be reminded of their hypocrisy daily but won't be. Love Britain
