Great how your phone gives you memories.

It's two years to the day since Rachel Reeves told me if Labour won the general election they would send the National Audit Office in to investigate the Teesworks saga.

The authority responsible hasn't published audited accounts since then, yet nothing.

Another day, another list of announcements and achievements from our hardworking Labour Government. While the media focussed on old news and resignations they suppress all the good news.

For anyone taking David Bull seriously, I have a photo to share with you…
Here he is presenting on tv with a panty-pad of sympathy on his ear when Trump got shot.
He’s a weapons-grade knob. And Chairman of Reform.
This tells you all you need to know.

Mapped: The Reform-Orbán Network “Viktor Orbán is the strongest leader in Europe and the EU’s biggest nightmare.” These were the words posted on Twitter by Reform UK leader Nigel Farage about the prime minister of Hungary in April 20...

“It’s deeply shocking that Reform has developed such close ties with Orbán’s regime, an authoritarian govt with an appalling record of rolling back democracy and civic rights”

Where ‘deeply shocking’ = entirely on brand.
Hungary shows us we must never give them power.

The shameless hypocrisy -

JD Vance - the VP of the USA - rocks up in Hungary days before they go to the polls to overtly campaign for Orbán…

…and he has the sheer audacity to accuse the EU of external election interference (because EU stuck to its rules). Grotesque.

Ministers explore triggering break clause in Palantir’s NHS contract Government is under pressure to eject the controversial American company from NHS England data systems

That UK government ever considers asserting its contractual rights against a major supplier is rare and welcome.

And here, this is especially welcome.

This will not be easy but it can be done, but it is good it is being seriously considered at all.

It is vital that the UK Govt takes the hit & ditches Palantir's contract. Peter Thiel is not our friend he is Trump's friend. Our data is valuable...that value should be ours.
This is a matter of National Security.

#DumpTrump Purge #Palantir save our data.

Duncan McCann: The dangers from Palantir’s UK data grab are already here | Good Law Project The US spy-tech firm has inserted itself into the Ministry of Defence, the police and our health service – we’re already paying the price

How’s it going with Palantir?

Last week Health Services Journal revealed that almost a third of the NHS trusts using Palantir’s platform “were not meeting minimum data security standards”:

What I thought was a dangerous thing to do has indeed become a dangerous thing to do.

Well that just confirms our suspicions. There had to be daily targets, didn't there?

As for Palantir when is the rest of the world going to say, enough, we don't want your systems embedded in our state in a way that we can't get rid of it. That imo is the really bad news about Palantir

In my latest Substack post I explore the Trump administration’s views on ethical codes for AI - “woke” according to Pete Hegseth - and how that should shape the UK government’s dealings with US AI firms Anthropic, OpenAI and Palantir

Another perfect illustration of what is wrong with our media and just what the government is up against!

In this case, omission of details and fact twisting which makes people blame Labour rather than the Tories.

I believe Zack Polanski is the only party leader who isn't an MP, you'd think he'd have jumped at the chance to stand in Gorton and Denton, particularly as he was born in Manchester. Anybody in the media asked him why he didn't stand, particularly as he's so confident the Greens will win.

🚨Gorton and Denton by-election

Surely by now we can all see that Reform is a party that thrives on division, fuels anger and uses the scapegoating of minorities to gain support.

However you decide to vote please don’t fall for the politics of division offered by Reform

Exactly. The question I pose to AI enthusiasts is: will you be happy to have your plane piloted or heart surgery performed by someone who got through college & professional training by having AI do all their work?
The response is either silence or "that won't happen"--but they can't explain why not.

The damage done to British prospects by Brexit is clear to see and for the sake of those affected we must salvage what we can as soon as possible -seeking to learn from Switzerland and a deal that gets us back to single market to help British workers and businesses harmed by the Tory hard Brexit.
