Let's start the year with the right foot! I am now doing #commissions! Most info is on the sheet/comic, payment can be either via PayPal or Ko-fi. Payment is received beforehand of course, if you are interested just dm me!
Coming back to bluesky, here are my best pieces from last year, i know i say this every year but i will try doing more art this year, and it is a legit goal now that i have some projects in mind.
And since this island is quite hilly, they Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'. Until they set their bodies outside again and stop rolling. Their shells are somewhat adapted to that strategy, being quite "flat-sided" to allow for smoother voyages and avoid tripping during the initial push.
#Spectember2025 day 1: First steps
The Tired Snail (*Rota collicillindra*) (Hill rolling wheel)
On a remote, small island, there are snails. Snails unlike any other. If they feel threatened, they will withdraw to their shell and with a push of their strong muscular foot they get Rollin'.

Hey, since the whole #IrritatorbelongstoBr thing is going on, I would just like to remind everyone that Lacusovagus is also in Germany, and so is a bunch of other fossils.
Dungeon Meshi really changed my perspective on many aspects of exploring concepts in fantasy đź¤

Comic about two mages in a standoff western movie style in front of a church and some medieval style houses. The second panel shows the mage of the left who has a beard and a cape with a star brochure saying "so you came..." The third panel has the mage with a moustache from the right, he got a hood with a lightning bolt brochure and he says "of course i would..." Isolated speech bubble: ... After all...
Fourth panel has a close up of the Right mage's face. In the middle there is a speech bubble saying "...this village is too small for the two of us" to the right we have close ups of the sides of the mages' eyes, staring at each other. Then panels of more eye close ups. Panels of the mages holding their staffs, with an aura around the tips. Then the last panels the mages draw the staffs like samurai swords.
In the last panel we see the Left mage doing a surprised face and a bubble speech with a bang mark. Then a full spread of the left mage holding his staff above his head while casting a lightning spell on the Right mage, who didn't cast fast enough, and got hit by it while his pointy hat flies off his head and his staff falls to the ground.
Comic idea i had while watching Frieren. Already have a whole world and plot for a full comic based on this short comic... Maybe someday... I call it "Samurai Cowboy Mage"

Don't cling your identity to commercial properties. They're products. You can enjoy them. But make sure they're not something that defines you, especially exclusively.

A very plump, grumpy looking toad! Their back is brown colored and has a pattern of light brown bars! They are covered in small warty bumps, some of which are reddish in color!
Our friend the Northern Spadefoot Toad lives in northern Australia! Males of the species are known to inflate their bodies and float in the water while making loud "whoop! whoop! whoop!" noises to attract females! www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3dv... (photo by Nick Volpe)
Annual reminder that instead of Harry Potter, read Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea instead.
Better written, more insightful, more interesting world and characters, not ethically-poisonous, and it wasn't made by a malignant has-been TERF.

Landscape of the Mediterranean basin during the Miocene Messinian salinity crisis. The former sea floor is a salt flat with islands rising up as mountains. Animals featured are gazelles, giraffe-relative Samotherium and Konobelodon, a proboscidean with four tusks.
The Mediterranean in Crisis.
About 6 million years ago the Mediterranean Sea almost completely dried up, becoming a giant salt flat. Many terrestrial animals roamed it and the former islands. Eventually, the Atlantic Ocean reclaimed the basin in what must have been the flood of all floods. #Sciart
A small brown toad, covered in lots of small dark brown and red warty bumps! They have a small head and very long, skinny legs!
Our friend GĂĽnther's Dwarf Toad lives in the forests of the Matang Range of Sarawak, Malaysia! They grow to less than an inch long! Their tadpoles develop quickly in temporary pools and are born with yolk sacs on which they feed until they develop into baby toads! (photo by Bob Zakaria)
Guardian of the forest, having a ponderous moment. Tree branches sprout from them like a sheep's horn. Once overgrown, will they become a tree?

An urban brubafa shows off an outfit they picked up at one of Gokatsa's many outdoor shopping malls. Donning a purple shirt, khaki green slacks, and the hottest new kicks, many brubafa prioritize a mix of style and comfort.
As facultative bipeds, most brubafa find it easier to walk on all fours. This necessitates a hand covering that is easily removable, yet sturdy & sanitary. Handshoes are one such solution, with findings suggesting they were first crafted over 140,000 years ago #salotum #specevo #worldbuilding

Our friend the Uruguay Redbelly Toad only grows to about an inch long who lives in Argentina, Uruguay, southern Paraguay, and southern Brazil! They have bright red patches on their belly which they will show off to predators in order to not get eaten! (photo by Fernando Sessegolo)
Literally any riding-suitable animal or animal-drawn-cart is a lot cooler than any vehicle imo. Ideally you need to be its best friend for it to function properly, and it usually comes with anti-theft/damage measures like teeth and horns. Plus, they’re primarily made of carbon and are even edible.

A slender brown toad covered in lots of spiny warts! They have long, skinny legs and very long fingers and toes!

A small, slender brown toad with a rough, pebbly skin texture and large black eyes with a gold ring!
Our friend the Brazil Tree Toad lives in the Amazonas state of Brazil! They have a unique reproductive strategy where they lay their eggs on aerial roots above pools of water, and when the eggs hatch the tadpoles fall into the water where they develop! (photo by Victor Fávaro Augusto)
An aum (brubafa equivalent to “man”) gets ready to score a hoop for the Gokatsa Rhinos. Due to the American importation of the sport, it’s seen as “cool” to use English for team mascots when possible.
The Aputsum of Salotum have readily adopted many human customs since their island was opened up to the outside world in 1875. One newfound pastime is basketball. Though less stable on two legs, brubafa can still move rapidly and deftly in a bipedal stance.
