As I recall from reading BTS stuff on it back when I read everything he was putting out, I believe he was basically seeing how far he could push how dark he could get before the editor or higher ups said “No,” and no one did.
No, but a repaint will get you started on a nice Cat in the Hat costume.
New Warriors: The first three issues (the team’s origin, plus some Mad Thinker stuff) and issues 7-9 (mostly the “Force of Nature” stuff) for the first movie. Then issues 18-25 for the sequel.
Pied Piper in Flash’s Rogues Gallery is the strongest example I can think of, since the question does say “DC characters.”
And more importantly, the people in charge knew to listen to the smart person.
Klingon Therapist: Today is a good day to cry.
So much this. I remember seeing every single comic book movie that came out, even if I knew it would be crap, just to send the message that we wanted more. I never could have dreamed of something like this back then. I can’t wait.
As someone who bleached his hair and stopped, I’d guess he was frustrated with what it was doing to his scalp.
But, I could be projecting.
They don’t have any real friends who can tell them “Woah! Take it down a notch!”
There is only one person who can get Bluesky working again.
Nothing wrong with Apollo 13.
My other two options were “Muppet Christmas Carol” and “Army of Darkness.” Which, you know, is quite the pendulum swing...
Without saying your age, post your favorite film that released the year you turned 18.
(Unless you’ve seen the movie, you probably won’t be able to identify it from this gif. If that’s true, you should ask me what movie and change that…)
Do they make them big enough to fit around Trump’s cankles?
My parents made me watch “The Day After” at age 10, because I should “know what could happen.”
To this day, when I am woken up by a loud truck passing by, my first thought is “The missiles have launched."

Making a DS9 mug?
I have Amazing Spider-Man up to #100 in the original dress, plus the first Incredible Hulk Masterworks. Love that version.
Speedball and Bouncing Boy.
Having and spent some time around rich people (as a teen/young adult), I would imagine that even someone on the Gates/Musk scale would be pissed about losing $200,000. Now, they’ll spend it easily, but “losing” it, especially in a way that makes them look gullible? That’s a very different story.
God backing up?
This is much more accurately your emo band’s name rather than your stripper name. Because while I have no desire to see “Ceasar Doesn’t Work Hard Enough” on the pole, I would definitely buy their album.
Amazing Spider-Man, with Darkhawk and The New Warriors following close behind, thanks to the first storyline I bought new off the shelf guest-starring Darkhawk, Nova, and Night Thrasher (and Moon Knight, but he didn’t catch my interest at the time).
I thought it was Hawkman in the center for a second.
So, what time should I be over?
I mean, I love the name Speedball. It’s a lot of fun to say, but I wonder if he would have possibly had more mainstream appeal if he had a name that didn’t have the unfortunate drug connection.
I did not know that, nor the Ricochet moniker. Thank you @tombrevoort.bsky.social for adding this extra piece of history I wasn’t aware of about my favorite character!
Nooo!
(I’m assuming it’s you)
