I’ve commented on this separately because we went from VAR micro-analysing to relying on on-field decisions. Now, if the on-field decision is OK they will not challenge it. It doesn’t have to be good, just not crazy bad. This is what tripped us up against AFCB. Maguire vs Amad opposite decisions

This happened because of the correct use of VAR. In both the Amad and Maguire incidents, the on-field decisions weren’t incorrect enough to overturn. When you look at both together, you can’t in all conscience award one and not the other. That didn’t happen of course so we get stitched up
