Tomorrow my bestie and I will be leaving for a vacation that has literally been in planning for 38 years.

Finished The Kaiju Preservation Society by @scalzi.com yesterday. It was on my TBR for too long, but I'm glad because my brain really needed something funny and adventurous and it hit the spot. So good! (I wish it had some revisionist history where some large adult sons were Kaiju snacks though.)

One thing I am mildly jealous of are your flavoured Coke Zeros. We hardly ever get those in Canada. I mean I wouldn't trade my universal healthcare for it, but they are pretty good pops.

On YouTube there's a chemist, Nile Red, who made purple gold. This diamond with purple gold would be, well very purple, but it's fun to imagine.

I commute with my friend on Wednesdays. This morning she was early enough that she could come in for tea and we had coffee cake. We laughed, we cried, it was epic.

There's someone spoofing your account and trying to get them to do giveaways and whatnot with a phone number.

I don't know if it was noticed, but there's a fake account answering as you. The handle is the same but the bsky account is ie instead of ei. I reported it.

So if you let half a dozen kids jump on a bunch of old, accumulated bubble wrap so you can recycle it, it sounds remarkably like firecrackers.

I have never done mine, but it's on the list to be done. My mom redid the bathroom like once every 5-6 years or so. My dad was pretty handy though.

Today when I was trying to go to work I could not find my shoes. My shoes. The olds, I have them.
