So what if there’s zombie landlords from another dimension, a cult with an idiotic leader, goofy, otherworldly, and sometimes scary, monsters (which you have an option to fight against) and eldritch gods that take forms that are difficult to comprehend? Still less problems than this world.
It’s multicultural (many different people from different dimensions), stable (they’re stuck here, so people stick together), relatively safe town (has rangers and can get your own method of defense), resources (both natural and from other worlds, with energy that wouldn’t work anywhere else).
Not home (unfortunately), but I know my way around.
