I tortured my teachers & fellow students with Axe Alaska for years, and am deeply sorry for the distress this may have caused. All of us used this. Teaching adolescents must have been hard. One spark & the dense Axe cloud would have gone kerblooey. 💥

It sure sounded like this, and poor foxy got more and more riled up, realizing her play toy now was out of reach. So adorable. I was half expecting those high-pitched frustration sounds. 😅 Awwww.

Today at Berlin Botanical Garden, we met the sister of the fox we saw last week (who was present also). She was even more curious, came very close. Tried to catch a mouse later, but the mouse was smarter - made it to a hollow tree after some minutes, sending this lady trotting off in frustration. ❤️🦊

Oh, I love digital V2T and voice memos for brain dumping, when a new idea needs to get out and captured fast.

But slowing down my thoughts is exactly what I am doing this for. Letting thoughts ferment. Inspire new ideas, while the pen forces you to mull over them. It is meditative, not effective.

Light a candle, have a hot cuppa, and transcribe/distill the small brain-dump notebook into a larger forever notebook. Writing with a fountain pen forces me to slow down my thoughts. And suddenly, stress fades, ideas grow. ❤️

Training training training.. every day a little more. Most of that stuff are just bad scribbles galore, but it helps. This is more about seeing, understanding, remembering. Feels a bit like learning to walk again, once a cast came off a leg after a long time.

And yes, I already desinfected the glove & discarded the trap. While the Yellow-Necked Mouse is a reservoir hosts for DOBV Hanta, they specifically carry the Dobrava variant (present mostly in W./S. GER), while the host for the local Kurkino variant is mainly the Striped Field Mouse (A. agrarius).

Went and caught the cute flower thief from our balcony we noticed a while ago. She was indeed a little Yellow-Necked Mouse, right in the center of Berlin, on a 1st floor balcony. She now lives in a park near Spree river, after being fed and and warmed up properly. Good luck, little lady! ❤️🐁

We made a new friend today. 🤣 Berlin City Foxes are something else entirely. Not a care in the world, tagging along humans, passing you by not 1.5ft away, checking out if you have something to eat for them, and otherwise flopping onto their sides in the grass, basking in the Spring sunlight. ❤️🦊

That was back at film school in Cologne, 2003. Yikes - 23 years ago?! 😅
It was a repeating/continuous panning shot assignment. I went for a Humvee driving through a post-apocalyptic city. Trying to remember who the teacher was on that segment.. might have been Jan Brandt or late Harald Siepermann.

The next step was splitting up the background layers into a fore- mid- and rear-background layer, each from front to back passing by more slowly. That brought the perception of depth and range into it.
Ah, good times...

Yeah, kneeling turns special too, when you get older. Yikes. 🤣
