The reason we have a lot of dad games, aside from the other reasons people have mentioned, is that ultimately it fits really well with the first or third person action adventure genre in that it takes however much of your time you choose and then you can put it down and go do whatever else you want, having had the experience of Having Parented

I was at the gym and found a kettlebell with a face on it. my personal trainer said that a few months back someone got cursed and turned into a kettlebell, but they lost track of which one. so I showed it to him and asked if this was the one that was cursed and he said "I don't know. maybe"

oh, you picked up my companion book before the date? that's a good idea, I feel like people often get confused without it. also the appendix at the back gives a history of all of my little outfits

I think we, as a society, are too generous with our standing ovations. Make them earn it

Ok I finally myself got my own hands on an arc of this and I am reading it in the bath to decide what to perform from it tonight and like... it's sort of solid. Weird book, but has an aesthetic, has a purpose, no filler. Maybe you will enjoy it?

If you watch Laura (1944) and think Waldo Lydecker is “babygirl” just because he delivers some choice bons mot, ignoring that he’s an obvious misogynist and a murderer, you have no media literacy

Crosshatches A newsletter where author, editor, and Podside Picnic host Karlo Yeager Rodríguez tries to scribble in some detail, here and there

If you enjoyed "As the Shore to the Tides, So Blood Calls to Blood", I wrote a novella in that setting, a story about families, the curses they bear, and fighting the good fight - even in the face of Death.

I'm serializing it in my newsletter so consider signing up:

Hello everyone I have a NEW short story called "She's Still Here?" out in Cleaver Mag. It's about a 55th birthday party for a woman who everyone was pretty sure was going to die young, and it's getting so awkward
