this weekend has proven to me several times over that i dont need to place in bracket for a family and home to be at every under night tournament i go to. it is admittedly convenient that i got a placement im satisfied with, but the time i spent with those i cherish will be much more memorable to me

i lost my competitive drive a few years ago and despite knowing otherwise, always had the irrational fear that continuing to place well in brackets was a prerequisite to being welcomed in the surrounding community at large.

finished 9th, much better than i ever could've expected.

i'm still going to commit to spectating tournaments for the time being. my anxiety playing in bracket has been impossible to keep under control for 6 years+ and has only gotten worse in the past year.
