I do find myself remembering the Before Times, before the internet became a thing, and wondering how I would have made money from my books then? It would have been agent-publisher-bookshop I suppose, self publishing being viewed as merely vanity publishing back then.

Morning @runalongwomble.bsky.social getting in my book read early today. It’s FANTASTIC, totally leans into the coffee shop AU & Chosen one who doesn’t want to be tropes, F/F romance, theres dragons, a fluffy cat & magic & teen angst because S.E.A protag wanting to make parent proud 💕. I loved it.

Just FYI, there is a tiny indie bookshop in Afflecks Palace in MCR that ONLY sells fantasy (and a tiny bit of horror). Not even SF. Bugbear Books - check them out if you're in the area. I was very well behaved because I was already broke but I got a copy of The Fox Wife which looks great.
