Even before communism, life was dangerous for Jews in Eastern Europe. My great grandparents came to this country to escape the Pograms. Many Jews came here or went to Israel to escape the Pograms decades before the Holocaust. Jews have been slaughtered & persecuted for centuries in diaspora.

I would say a very small minority actually. the belief that this large number or it’s frequent is driving by no jewish bias, in my opinion. and that, subsequently, is being used to question or give passes to not take Jews seriously when discussing real problems.
