Not exactly a musical prodigy, Ringer has continued to drown out the voices of doubt and make great strides in his pursuit of mastering the triangle.

The crosswinds through KS and MO are brutal and humbling. Yeah, I’d do it again, and when I do I’m gonna pull over more often and just look and listen.

It does level out in some sections, which allows you to watch the storms come and go, but it’s surprisingly rolling in a majority of areas. Not gonna lie, the temps got as low as 28F and up to 78F, heated grips and a heated seat sure helped.

I took the back highways taking my time to soak up the landscape. Most folks will tell you that it’s boring and flat, but I found going slow and talking to old timers with wise weather advice was inspiring.

These sketches are mostly from mental notes taken during a 1200 mile ride that cut through the heart of the mid-western United States.
I rode my son-n-law’s BMW 1250gs from IN to CO where I passed it off to Alec and Ava who then rode it another 1000+ miles to their home in Spokane WA.
