One’s diluting something unique. The other is adding a little bit of uniqueness to something already diluted

But I feel that a unique movie by a director with a vision doesn’t need to have spin-offs and sequels - and on the other hand a director with a vision IS very interesting to see take on a hack gig reviving a shitty franchise

I love Longlegs. I love Weapons. I don’t want Longlegs 2 or Gladys: the Movie. What’s with this desperation to try and turn everything into a franchise? Just do good movies with good characters and we’ll watch them
