The big issue will be how to account for graphical quality settings. Can go based off defaults, but for anyone who changes anything, it will not be as accurate.
Strings found in the Steam Client Update log may indicate that you will soon be able to get performance estimates for games before you buy, which could give some idea of how games run on #SteamDeck:

Cooking Simulator 2 is still a competent, fun cooking/restaurant management game, even with the big changes to its formula. And with some compromises, it's playable on #SteamDeck.

Our review for Cooking Simulator 2 is still cooking, but we can confirm it is playable on the #SteamDeck! It needs lower settings and a 30 FPS lock, since looking in certain directions will cause drops, but it's playable.
Gamepad support is not the greatest though...
