After working on Unity this past weekend, I finally uploaded the first few iterations of the FreakPupper! I had some fun with missing bones, but now I get to tackle blendshapes and physbones. Onward we go!

It’s definitely tough work! Seeing it come together is very nice.
I modeled everything up in Fusion 360 and my friend laser cut the metal pieces. So far it’s all been fitting together like an erector set lol

Using 6011 electrode at 70 amps on 1/4” steel. It seems to penetrate well after grinding. Occasional undercut and porosity. I grind it and go over it again.
Can’t go above 70 amps or my 6kW inverter shuts down.
Tried 6013 but it seems to shut down more frequently.
Day 10 or so of welding. It’s so much work lol. Never welded before but I’m getting kinda sorta ok-ish at it now.
Welded on 24 side extension pieces. Starting on the floor joists now.

The per-frame tool seems very useful for details like this. did you render it with the fur each time to see how it reacted? I imagine that bit is a whole other thing lol
Oh yeah, I know of them. They’re awesome too, but I don’t think they made their suits based on the model.
(Except Turb, sorta, we worked together and I made a FH retexture of another private FH model for him as a suit reference, then I made the public FH referencing his suit!)

Oh I’d definitely recommend it. I just have my thing set to download 4K if it can find it. Pair that with a request / auto download system and it can get out of control pretty quickly :p
