Went to a biergarten Oktoberfest this evening. No oompah band … they had … rap karaoke.

I didn’t participate, but now I’m wondering if oompah rap would work …

Right, they’re to stop egregious behaviours, not demand driver perfection.

The most disruptive thing, really, is everyone else doing whatever they need to do not to get stuck behind it. :)

I appreciate that Waymo cars can pay full attention to their speed at all times, so there would be no legal justification not to program them to drive at 35.00 mph in a 35 zone.

And I’m amazed that we now have machines like this at all!

Today’s lesson for me in terms of using obscure acronyms without context: that was the Big Beautiful Bill (the name alone shows how unserious the US Government is now), not the Better Business Bureau. :)

I am slowly reviewing the consequences of the BBB (job-related, really) … and all I can say, honestly, is that the Argentinisation of the USA continues.

I’m not there yet, and I’m willing to acknowledge a mistake corrected … but still, with the Nazi oddities and now the pedophile oddities, I’m more on the fence than I used to be. And generally I don’t judge businesses by their owners.

I have stuck around, because I don’t judge what services other people want to use … but I’ll grant that this has kind of creeped me out.

Twitter / X is starting to weird me out … this just showed up in the middle of my “following” feed.

I don’t follow this person. It’s not marked as an ad or as a promoted post. I can’t interact with it. And the subject matter is … oddly obsessive.

It’s actually quite nice work, and for the price you get full shading and at-con completion. But yes, it’s like an order of magnitude higher than anything I’ve ever seen before.
