I've done upfest! A few years ago, though - but it was fun!

It was a few years ago, but I think this one took about 7 hours? Over two days though - the festival takes place over a weekend in summer usually, and it's been running since 2017!

But their descendants are still here~! In the form of chickens, etc

Oh god loads, probably 12 at least?! The issue is mostly the nibs - they get destroyed if the surface is rough!

I was able to participate in the festival a few times after that year & had even larger areas to cover, so for those I decided to use a paint brush + actual acrylic for blocking bits out!

I sketched the rough design and shapes onto the wall with pencil first ( I had to sharpen it a few times! ) and then went with a fine POSCA to start with the head, and then went from there.
You can get some really thick POSCAs now, which allowed me to fill out some of the chunkier black parts. 👍
