"Speaking with developers and artists at studios that have agreed to DLSS 5, including CAPCOM and Ubisoft, Insider Gaming was told that the DLSS 5 tech was revealed to them at the same time as everyone else.
“We found out at the same time as the public,” said one Ubisoft developer."

Buy this immediately. Absolutely mind blowing VR game!
I *love* Deadly Delivery. It's an incredibly fun co-op multiplayer game where you deliver packages to cave denizens who apparently enjoy doing everything in their power to stop said packages from getting delivered.

For some of us, the "smartphone wars" are personal. Brands like OnePlus are more than just an alternative; they are the only option for flicker-sensitive users wanting a flagship experience, especially in North America where options are severely limited.

My frustration with Meta is twofold, for sure. One, they chase these trends too hard and too fast way too often. Pivoting is the company's MO. Two, they've pigeonholed the VR market and giving up like this hurts everyone, not just their billions in investments.
This is a lovely, positive take on the whole thing, and I really appreciate that! The OG Rift CV1 was definitely not open, though. I had to run third party mods just to play Oculus games on my Vive, so closed ecosystems are nothing new for Meta.
This is the best advice. Truly. Some of the best things are born out of hardship.
The lack of leadership and vision here is truly astounding. It's even worse that so many outlets continue to praise AI glasses' "success" while simultaneously decrying Quest for "having contributed absolutely nothing" over the years. Makes me genuinely angry at my colleagues in other publications.
If anyone in the VR industry wants to chat about today's layoffs, my DMs are open. Going to write more in depth about things this Thursday.
Poetry. I hate that reality doesn't sound as beautiful.
VR fantasy adventure DrakkenRidge gets a free expansion tomorrow on Quest 3, adding a new island, new enemies, and more.

Didn't realize how much I wanted snowboarding in Animal Company but MAN IS THIS FUN!
Hate to see you go but love to see success for you!
As we approach Cyber Monday, those deals move around a bit. Best Buy isn't offering the Quest 3 sale anymore, but Amazon is! That's a $75 Amazon gift card included with every Quest 3 purchase.

It's also happening to other Meta products like Ray-Ban and Oakley glasses, in case you need more of a reason to do this!

A PSA reminder: do NOT link Meta/Facebook/Instagram/etc accounts when you use a Meta Quest. It's a great way to lose access to all the stuff you've bought if Facebook ever bans your social media account.

The Quest 3 comes with a $75 gift card from Best Buy on Black Friday. This headset *never* goes on sale, so this is a huge deal if you're looking to get Meta's best.

PSVR 2 + Horizon Call of the Mountain is $299 right now. Considering how many other insanely good VR games are available on PSVR 2 (Hitman, Resident Evil 7/8, Gran Turismo, Pools, etc), this is an astounding deal!

Seriously, buy every game on this list.

It's been a *long* time coming, but Meta finally has a trade-in program to get you a new pair of Oakley Meta or Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses for less. I'm super happy to finally see this and hope they extend it to Quest!

It's a fairly typical "give up freedom/privacy for convenience" type of thinking
All very good points. This same problem exists with a lot of tech companies right now, too, and have long been problems that people have widely ignored.
There have been a ton of GREAT VR games this year, but Demeo x D&D Battlemarked is my VR GOTY. I already loved Demeo's turn-based strategy formula, and this steps it up about 10 notches. Voiced NPCs, multiple campaigns, impressive locale variety, and more

Ghost Town deserves your vote! Supremely incredible game!
