Re: Jeanne Lee favourites, I might place BLASÉ somewhere close to the top. A summer in '69 Paris date with Archie Shepp, Malachi Favors, Lester Bowie, Dave Burrell, and Philly Joe Jones. It's a hot 1 and it wouldn't be what it is without the unfiltered harmonica fuel of Chicago Beau and Julio Finn.

I could listen to Jeanne Lee and Mal Waldron's After Hours (1994) any day of the week. In the liner notes, Jeanne thanks Mal for playing in a way that allowed the session to take on "the relaxed and intimate quality of after-hours communication".
