Nothing is more inspiring to me as a writer than reading a good book.

#Writing is the only part of this process I am any good at. I deal with the other two by omitting them entirely and accruing unpublished works that will hopefully some day become sentient and publish/market themselves.

Regarding the tedious task that is 3d asset creation (I'm sure some people love it). I at least feel like the more my confidence grows, the faster I can crank out these out. Learning to not be precious about every object, no need for unnecessary detail that players aren't going to notice.
This is a good point.
Making assets is both fun and painful, especially without an art background. Do other solo game developers do all tbeir own assets or am I making this whole thing unnecessarily difficult for myself? (3D)

Not the answer anybody wants to hear, but caffine doesn't 'give' energy, it just tricks you into thinking you are not tired by supressing your adenosine receptors. Maybe your ADHD is preventing that suppression, I don't know, I'm not a doctor. Maybe try sweet food, ideally fruit. Kiwifruit are good.
I am Conrad Whittler, unpublished writer. I am not exclusively a horror writer truth be told, but the manuscript I am currently editing is an eerie culty cottagegore kind of story.
Imprisonment in horror is most effective when there are no locks or cages involved, yet the characters cannot leave.
This is pretty close! It's a cat on it's back playing with a tomato.
Interesting! It'a not what I had in mind but I sort of see it!
Well that would be giving it away.
What do you see in this picture?
I made it using felt shapes.

How many vignettes can you fit in a novella narrated by a cat? At least eleven, I have found.

I think often about signing out. Deleting all the apps. Deleting accounts. Getting a typewriter and a few colouring pencils to entertain myself, start playing guitar again and making more things out of wood. Maybe get an old phone and use cash instead of card. Something like that.
The presence of a dog in #Horror as a companion is scary by itself because there's always the chance that something bad will happen to the dog, no doubt while it is being loyal af.
Ambitious #writing ideas are simultaneously the most annoying and rewarding. And probably the least marketable but I'll worry about that later (or never).
When in a writing session, I try to stop in the middle of a scene rather than at the end, otherwise I will put off writing the next scene. Because to sit down at my desk and be looking at a blank page is daunting no matter how much planning I might have done.

I learned about the subgenre #cottagegore recently and reckon it fits my book perfectly.

A wonky whittled spoon
My first #DIY spoon turned out alright, if a bit wonky and a bit thick about the handle, but altogether not too bad. Now a cup of tea and a little #writing before bed.
He definitely could climb a tree, of that he is certain, but he simply chooses not to. Too sappy.
Currently writing a non-horror story where the protagonist/narrator is a cat. It's about as far from a horror story as I have ever written. Anyway, I'm pretty sure he would have no love in his heart for Squirrel day.

"Even those who live alone and shun all that lies beyond their locked doors have experienced that empty embrace that wraps the darkest of nights. Cold thin arms that encompass weary minds. Dreamless, and without comfort, they tighten."
Happy hug day everyone!
I'm Connie Whittles, I don't only write Horror, but the horror I do write tends to be cosmic/supernatural.
Despite my irreligousness, my favourite 'international' day is pancake day, for obvious reasons.

Today I have drafted names and covers for the sequels to the novella I haven't even finished writing yet. Sometimes it's fun to have unrealistic expectations. No regrets.

Yes, I'm probably about halfway through the relatively short novella.
All the other characters are human, a group of twelve unique men and women of varying ages who all meet on a regular basis in their favourite cafรจ where the cat happens to live. If that sounds entriguing I can let you know once I finish writing it, as it's a novella I'm tempted to attempt self pub.
Yes! First-person present-tense.
The day is ending in this corner of the world, hoping to get a little writing done before bed though.
A pretty wonky wooden-spoon-in-progress
Currently writing a cosy novella featuring a feline narrator, and whittling a wonky wooden spoon.

All good, I'm looking forward to it :)
