I haven’t been on this app in MONTHS.
Installed a shader pack for Minecraft. Feels like a whole new game!
One of the most common questions from my new film scoring students is, "What are all of those letters and numbers in cue titles?" So l made a guide and put it on my website for free!

I enjoyed Star Wars Outlaws so much that I just had to get my own Kessel Sabacc kit. It's so fun!
A new album came in today! Howard Shore’s concert with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
I’m so glad labels like Deutsche Grammophon are recording and releasing concerts from prolific film composers.
Just finished Star Wars Outlaws. The story was so kriffing good!! The look and feel of every little detail was so “Star Wars.” What a thrill!
I don’t know what else Disney has planned for these characters (if anything), but I hope to see books, comics, etc.!
Star Wars Outlaws is the greatest game I’ve played in a long time.
I said what I said.
I once had a film composer tell me, “I don’t listen to film music.”
I think he thought that was a flex.
This one’s for the John Williams fans.
Correctly and comfortably engraved parts make up 65-70% of a studio session’s success rate. It doesn’t matter how good the music is if the musicians spend the entire session trying to decipher what you’ve put on the page.
Care for your musicians, and they will care for you!
I have had a BLAST speeding around the sands of Tatooine in Star Wars Outlaws.
Another great addition to the collection! The limited 3CD expansion of Hook from @lalalandrecords.bsky.social
Any benefits of this over something like Zebra?
If you buy a Nord just to use it as a MIDI controller…
Good for you, I guess.
I upgraded things in the turntable department with the Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB.
First play: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
I just delivered orchestrations for 8 jazz tunes to be recorded with a string orchestra later this week.
Arranged and conducted by the preeminent Singaporean jazz composer/musician Jeremy Monteiro — my friend and colleague.
It’s going to be a great week!
For real! 16 piccolos??
I mean, come on.
Another incredible album just arrived today!
Intrada’s 3CD expansion of John Williams’ score for The Patriot. I’m loving it already!
Oh, definitely! I’ve already got one in the cart for when that next pay day hits.
I bet it was amazing! That’s definitely the experience of a lifetime. Seeing Williams in concert becomes even more valuable with each passing day.
One of my favorite albums in recent years, and what I consider to be John Williams’ greatest live concert.
A double LP in limited edition gold from Deutsche Grammophon. Only 4,500 printed!
Thomas is here. It’s a party now!
This is the PLAUD NotePin, an AI recorder/notetaker.
It’s one of the most useful pieces of tech I’ve had in years. It’s CRAZY accurate (even with industry-specific language) because it uses GPT-4o to create transcripts/summaries with labeled speakers and action items.
Highly, highly recommended.
It's 2025, and I'm deleting my entire Apple Music library—a total cleanout, wiping everything, and starting over.
Over the years, my streaming library has become overwhelmingly bloated.
This year, I'm curating my music library with a keen and intentional ear, only adding what's important to me.

Here is a new resource I created for my students, and I'm making it available for free to anyone else who is interested.
It's a simple, visually engaging color code system for studying orchestration.

My wife, standing in line for concessions at the cinema: “I love Nerds.”
Me, a nerd, under my breath: “Thank God…”
