Oh yeah I don’t even have bullet points for sequences in my initial outline, I just stick to major plot beats. Whenever I do go in depth for one scene I always end up fiddling it too much which makes it harder to kill my darlings 😅

honestly the biggest hurdle I got past was my first drafts are much smaller now! It's easier to see things on a macro scale that way, making it easier to iterate and then edit. I always write the exact bare bones of what I need, and slide in variations to see how it works as a whole

I feel like I'm the opposite I love being an editor LOL
