Exactly. This isn't even close to the longest losing streak the mets have ever had.

"Obviously, age is just a number. Some people are super-agers. And experience matters in governance. But when our electoral system systematically excludes entire generations from meaningful participation, we’re courting a generational legitimacy crisis."

Why America Has the World's Oldest Politicians How our creaky electoral system created the most advanced gerontocracy on earth.

It's not just Trump. America is now led by octogenarians.

Everything is a Scam Our economy allows poor and working people to be shafted every day- does anyone care?

“Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe.”

I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business.

Opinion | It’s the 1970s Again. Democrats Should Study Up on Reagan.

If Democrats could learn and remember one thing, it would be this: ".. you win elections by searching for converts, not by hunting for heretics."

And if you believe in democracy and want to make changes, you must win elections.

As wealth concentrates, so does power — the power to influence elections, shape policy, tilt markets and define the terms of public debate.

Taxing billionaires is not radical.

What is radical is allowing a system where extreme wealth exists alongside widespread hardship.

Not unbelievable at all. They work for him and say what he wants them to say. I'd find it unbelievable if they actually spoke truth to his power.

"I had the hunch other people were worrying about the same things." Working-class people are reaching out to their neighbors to listen, not lecture.

I no longer consider the GOP a legitimate political party. The President is a terrorist, a traitor, and guilty of so many repugnant crimes that it's hard to keep track, and yet Republicans can't find it in themselves to remove or even criticize him. We pay these people, but they do nothing for us.

A screenshot of an opinion by Oliver Kornetzke from August 18th, 2025. There’s a photo of a tired, bloated Donald trump over the opinion that reads: behold. The festering carcass of American rot shoved into an ill fitting suit: the sleeves of economy, man, the cowardice of a draft dodger, the gluttony of a parasite, the racism of a clansman, the sexism of a back alley creep, and the greed of a hedge fund ghoul – all spray painted orange and paraded like a prize hog at a country fair. Not a president. Not even a man. Just the diseased distillation of everything this country swears it isn’t but has always been – arrogance dressed up as exceptionalism, stupidity passed off as common sense, cruelty sold as toughness, greed, exalted as ambition, and corruption worship like gospel. It is America’s shadow made flesh, a rotting pumpkin idol, proving that when a nation kneels before money, power, and spike, it doesn’t just lose its soul – it shits out this bloated, obscenity, and calls it a leader.

Are Trump's constituents profiting from what Trump does? I think there's a different motivation for Trump's constituents than capitalism.
