“Bluesky Technical Advisor” is a made-up job title, like “Creative Jedi” or “Strategic Hot Beverage Distribution Manager” or “Parliamentary Leader of Your Party”.

The Canary has had a sort of second coming, largely via covering/sharing videos from the Middle East and from anti-fascist protests in the UK. But it hasn't changed much, has it?

When Pat McFadden can't even muster the energy to defend you, you've got a problem.

Okay, so full transparency. I did dip it in a pool after it said it was too hot.
I was told not to do that before doing so, but my hubris said "nah these things are waterproof" and into the swim it went.
I go in the pool when I want to cool down, why can't my phone?

SICARIO is a weird case tbh where I think there's a tension between the screenplay (which thinks Alejandro and Matt are cool guys) and the actual movie as directed by Villenueve (which clearly thinks they are the villains)

Over 18 months as PM. Has collapsed Labour's polling share from low 40s in early 2024 to high teens now. Policy agenda remains unclear. Has fired 2 chiefs of staff, 2 cabinet secs, 4 comms directors, head of FO. Poor relationship with Cabinet and MPs. But somehow this is social media... 🤔

I stress constraints more than most and I am still certain that Starmer's operation has made massive, avoidable errors, and that his position has probably been untenable for some time. They have blown a major opportunity. That is on them, and him, and Labour supporters should not be forgiving.

No Charlotte, he knifed his brother, David Miliband. A man who would have led us to the Promise Land. He's always know.

I'm hardly naĂŻve about the way the British state rewards its failures, spivs and malcontents. But it is generally thought of as bad form for instantly fire someone into the Lords and try and get them a senior diplomatic role, especially after a 'remained friends with a sex offender' scandal...

Beginning to think there may be black mould in the walls of No. 10.

The case for Starmer to go in May will be based on appalling local election results. With Mandelson, he and those closest to him have made a series of mistakes, botched responses and shown terrible judgement. All of which becomes more firmly associated with the government the longer this goes on.

You’re saying he should never have been appointed and I agree with you,” Miliband told Sky News. “I steered well clear of Peter Mandelson when I became Labour leader in 2010.”

Asked what he thought about Mandelson’s initial appointment, he said: “That it could blow up, that it could go wrong … I had a conversation with David Lammy about it before the appointment, and I said I was worried about it … I think he was worried about it too.”

But Miliband said he was not asked directly what his views were of the appointment. “Maybe I wasn’t the person that people would necessarily ask. I think people knew my view on Peter Mandelson,” he added.

Miliband said he did not think it was a resigning matter for the prime minister. “No, I don’t think he should. Because I think if every time a prime minister made a mistake they resigned, we would shuttle through prime ministers like nobody’s business.

This is locked in now, I think. Starmer going in May might not be enough for a clean slate.

Yeah - can't see anyone currently in a senior Cabinet role being able to shake this.
