What if the whole Front Range had a train that took you straight to the game? No traffic, no parking? ⚾️
Imagine if Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo also had a #TrainToTheGame option too, maybe an even faster train? It's possible! 🚆

What do Coloradans actually think about passenger rail? 🚆 We asked. Here’s what they said!
youtu.be/EMSU6wK0DFo?...
Unfortunately for all of us, traffic is not just a challenge for commutes. Over the coming weeks, we will paint a picture of the various types of journeys that FRPR will offer an alternative to.
We're developing a very detailed, but accessible, summary version of the SDP right now that most clearly conveys the service vision - we hope that helps paint the picture of what the project service will be capable of.
Local stakeholders have made the case for infill stations, and we are listening to them very carefully. While it is not one of the 12 stations being advanced in the SDP, once we have initiated service that delivers competitive travel times, we will be better-positioned to consider infill stations.
The Front Range Passenger Rail project is classified as intercity passenger rail, not commuter/regional rail - if too many stations were to be added, we could approach a regional/commuter class of service. This is where there is a balance that is needed.
For the near-term, we are prioritizing adhering to the SDP as closely as we can. There is a balance to be had - a basic trade-off where the more stations are added, the longer the travel time becomes. That said, we recognize the importance of station placement in making the route most convenient.
The Front Range Passenger Rail project is seeking Federal approval of our Service Development Plan (SDP) document for a rail project in that intercity spec, which has 12 core stations. The SDP does NOT preclude us from adding new stations along the route (infill stations) in the future.
Hi Joseph - the crux is that the relatively longer-distance intercity passenger rail tends to space stations 10-25 miles apart, while regional/commuter rail spacing tends to be 2-10 miles apart on average. There are exceptions, but right now, the project is prioritizing 12 core stations.
