What a wonderful story - congratulations!

Of course! Didn't mean to doubt that.
Plus, you never told we were in a creepy basement during playtests. I would have been much more scared.
P.S. to everyone: Fun game.
Wow. That was fast.
Oh. That does not sound good.
White Castle in Vienna. They negotiate contracts for designers and take a cut out of that. A pleasure to work with them, in my experience.
Ok, then I have no clue.
If they're the ones I am thinking about, they've been rather successful eith Sdj nominations and wins. That's hundreds of thousands of copies.
Just data? There are agencies who actually introduce prototypes, with good success. So I don't assume you mean these.
As I wrote, Volta would be my absolute favorite, with Breitseite and Piratenbillard coming close behind. These just created so many memorable situations for me. For non-dexterity games, it's probably Rapa Nui (co-designed with Ingo Althöfer).
Thank you, Bart. Definitely a huge influence on my life.
This particular artwork was created by Reinhold's eldest son Matthias, but otherwise, I fully agree.
My friend and mentor, gaming giant Reinhold Wittig, passed away yesterday. I have written a somewhat personal obituary (in German) which you can find here:

Oh, Gibberers auf Deutsch! Das hatte ich nicht erwartet.
Korrekte Antwort.
"Hey, foreign friends, could you interfere to help keep a government in power? It's important because they are the only ones acting without foreign interference." That's rich.
A fascinating read - thanks for this. Japan is considered by many (including me) as the center of the modern trick-taking game renaissance. Lots of innovative concepts get published there every year.
Mein Arzt in der Uniklinik hat mir gestern mitgeteilt, dass er demnächst E-Rezepte ausstellen kann. Das ist doch schon mal was.
They did wish you a great day, so there's that.
I'd find it hard to give even rough numbers. How many pitches do I see during events? I don't know, and I definitely don't know how many my colleagues see. These don't result out of pitch requests. Other games we just ask for a prototype after seeing a video or reading the rules. Is that a pitch?
Thinking of that scene in Catch 22 immediately.
In Sachen Tischpräsenz ist Hot Streak kaum zu schlagen.
Oh, just one week after ours - and with quite a few that were played here as well. How many people?
Neither. Just put things in and close the box. In Machi Koro, one of the few games I own an expansion for, the expansion lid sometimes goes on the base game's lid and vice versa. Sorry for ruining everyone's day.
Have you tried it? I failed to find the app (Android) or the offer on the website (getting an unspecified error when trying to create an account).
Nach dem Preis für von Ossietzky hatten die Nazis Deutschen die Annahme von Nobelpreisen explizit verboten.
In December, I was on the jury for the second Persian Game Jam. I finally got around to writing about it (in German):

Unsere Tochter wollte von Anfang an nach Schweden und hat zum Glück auch einen Platz gekriegt. USA waren nie im Gespräch.
