All writers have room for improvement. They don't start out good. They may start out with promise. They may start out riddled with writing crap. It's okay. The hard part is getting the initiating words to the page. Get it out and down. It's okay to be dirty.

Think you're posting about your books too much?
First of all, no you're not.
The most insanely online people (talking about myself here) don't see nearly enough book promo.
Secondly, if someone is annoyed by it they're just a scold who wouldn't buy your book anyway. Carry on, you're good.
The 25th amendment exists for a reason. This madman is the reason. This post is the reason.
@SpeakerJohnson and @LeaderJohnThune, call Congress back into session today. Do your fucking jobs and defend America from this demented and deranged lunatic.
What the hell???
2006 internet: RSS feeds, forums, communities of hobby blogs, where people post about interior design, fashion, and music for free
2026 internet: sponsored content, paid partnership, buy my merch, try my supplements, invest in my crypto, click link in bio to unlock the secrets of life for $30
It resonated with my partner. Life is meant to be lived. I love it so much too. A slice of life(?) marvel project? Not sure to call it that but it was amazing to watch.

sometimes I delete my whole 'to be read' list and start over. honestly I shouldn't even keep a list. when I was a teenager my favorite thing was going to the library and choosing books based solely on the cover. I would spend my entire summer reading random books (probably some I shouldn't have)
Happy Caturday!
He warned us he would run our country like his businesses.
For the first time in years I spend a few hours in the last days reading fiction. It's hard to overstate how good it feels and how stupid I was not to do more of it. Reading a book is just such a wonderful experience.
(I read a lot of books but stuck to non-fiction in the last years)
I JUST WANT TO READ EVERY GOOD BOOK EVER WRITTEN IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK

Next time somebody tries to get me to justify the existence of the humanities, Iβll just point out how for the past two Super Bowls weβve all jumped online and engaged in collective semiotics and hermeneutics of the half-time show as text.
Feel bad for the boring fucks that struggle to watch old sci-fi stories about the future "cause actually that's not how [past year] was", or conversely "why does [future year] have significantly worse tech than we have now?"
Have some whimsy and enjoy things.
Morning.
Itβs like. ispy books meets howls moving castle. Itβs so beautiful. β€οΈ
I don't know what to tell you. You can't sit at a piano for the first time ever and play a sonata. You can't pick up a tennis racket for the first time and serve a 110MPH Ace.
You have to fuck up.
You have to be able to handle failing.
You have to love it enough to not get it right and keep on.
me, librarian: I think information should be organized and structured logically so that searches are high in precision and recall
tech industry, 2000: nope, keyword searching and opaque relevance rankings are what youβll get

tech industry, 2026: now youβll just get fake hallucinatory text
neurodivergents really do the best board game parties, i just played catan for six consecutive hours & im not socially exhausted!
When I was little I thought it was tiny pieces of kitchen sponges. Pretty sure a type of gluten base product though.
i think it sucks that online spaces really dont have safe spaces for kids. BUT we need more public spaces for children, especially ones that dont cost money
children deserve offline spaces and community
parks arent enough, give them a government mandated laser tag pit or smth

It was honestly so good. Binged it all in a weekend.
Love this pair of shots in The Thing '82. By now the audience is expecting something to appear in that negative space behind Macready, but it doesn't happen and the scene is allowed to fade out. The scare is delayed for a couple minutes later when Fuchs encounters the jumpscare instead.
