One more blast of clear coat and we GUCCI
me with writing right now. feels like I forgot how sentences work, it suuuuuucks.
I've been crocheting again instead just to be doing something that feels creative until my brain gets back on track.
Soup without a texture
Damn soup has no texture
tired. Definitely should've taken all of today off :/
kefka palazzo sitting coquettishly
A sketchy comic. Emma wears a ball cap that reads “LESBIAN.” She says, “honestly, it doesn’t always fit the best, but it has SO MUCH sentimental value…” She scowls, her teeth and fingers looking sharper than before, “and I will BITE anyone who tries to take it off me.”
a quick comic about “lesbian”
Heads up: Ancillary Justice (Imperial Radch Book 1), by @annleckie.com, is on US Kindle sale for $3; I got some for random giveaway.

Just not well written, and this is a show that reads like an after school special on a good day.
I'm gonna forgive a lot of the pitt's sins this season for closing on a shot of characters singing karaoke together, but man, that was a *rough* final episode.
Meanwhile, Prima gets handcuffed to Catalina, and is sitting there smoking casuallybwhile Catalina flips out. Only one of them thinks there's any kind of rivalry at all.
Sadly, I think Marine is pretty hopelessly outclassed by all his antagonists at this point. Handcuffing him to any of them will end badly. (maybe not Onyx? But you can't have Onyx without Garnet, so that still doesn't go well.)
The long awaited Star Projector and Star Lanterns Kickstarter is finally live! Get your stars here www.kickstarter.com/projects/yuu...
I've been working on this project for so long I can't believe it's finally ready! I'm so excited and nervous haha ⭐🌟✨
another one of my favorite coworkers is leaving, alas
I joke that I'm unhireable anywhere else so I'll be here til I die, but who knows what the future will hold. It feels extremely weird to be considered "senior" staff.
photo of a book lying open on a blue-grey woodgrained surface. The book can't quite be read, but there appears to be a divination (tarot) spread on the left page and a drawing of a chicken-legged hut on the right page.
photo of a book lying open on a blue-grey woodgrained surface. The book can't quite be read, but there appears to be a cocktail recipe called "Witch's Brew" on the left page and a drawing of a chicken-legged hut on the right page.
Book lying on a pale green background. The book is dark green with a graphite drawing in the center of the cover. The drawing is of a young lady in a black dress with a white apron in the woods, feeding four tiny huts on chicken legs. The text reads "Melissa Sue Stanley" at the top and "Shackling" at the bottom
I wrote a little book about Baba Yaga raising chicken-legged huts in her garden every 17 years.
It's also got a handful of divination spreads and a few recipes scattered through it. It's an odd little book and I hope people enjoy it.

Mona sitting behind a table with a "free HRT" table cloth. There's two potions, one with the male symbol and another with the female symbol. Shovel Knight looks over with interest.
This is how Shovel Knight body swap mode works I will not be taking any questions at this time

it was really fucking good! and not a tiny bite of steak, either, this was a hefty chunk of meat.
"Hey v, what do you mean when you say the food scene in Cleveland is insane"
well,
a molded panna cotta in the shape of a woman's decapitated head, lying in a pool of red sauce, with bits of rose petal scattered around it.
okay. youve got that image, that flavor, in your head, right? Delicious. Amazing. it's served with a glass of amaro nonino, which is sweet, syrupy, and citrusy, with a vague medicinal herbal quality.
It's also staring at you.
10/10, no notes.
Dessert: The Muse
At this point the chef came out and talked about how a particular painting in one of the old theaters downtown had always been an inspiration to him. Imagine the most delicately floral panna cotta, sitting on top of a beautiful rhubarb sauce with rose petals and sugar crystals
a very fancy cut of steak cooked rare over a vibrantly green sauce next to a rectangular prism of pave potato, which is like if you took a tater tot and leveled it up to god tier. there's a squiggle of something made out of goat cheese from goats that live in Geauga County on the potato cube.
Sixth Course: Meat and Potatoes
Triple-charred steak and some kind of magical potato stick with goat cheese and beef tallow chimichurri. I don't even like steak, but holy shit???? At this point I was also 2 1/2 cocktails in but you could give me chimichurri on a shoe and I'd eat it.
a gemstone shaped piece of clarified tomato broth in a metal bowl. It is vaguely fleshy while simultaneously sharp edged. it sits in a bed of smaller "gem" fragments, and is mildly unsettling.
Fifth Course: Palate Cleanser. Clarified tomato gemstones over a yuzu gel. I'll be honest, serving anything tomato-based in April is a bold and inadvisable move. The hand-cut tomato gems had a bit of an off-putting texture, but the yuzu gel was transcendental.
A ravioli with its edges crimped to look like the rays of the sun, served in a pool of black, silver flecked sauce, with a layer of black sauce on top. It is arranged to look like the corona of the sun during the totality of a solar eclipse
Fourth Course: Eclipse Ravioli, egg yolk and lemon ricotta ravioli served over a dashi sauce. I do not remember what the dashi was actually made from. Squid ink and root vegetables were probably involved. This was an astonishingly beautiful dish; the flecks in the sauce are edible silver leaf.
fluffy cloud of rice crackers over a quenelle of pork rillette, drizzled with carrot and orange agrodolce and covered in micro leeks
Third Course: pork rillette with carrot and cara cara orange agrodolce, rice cracker, and micro leeks. this is maybe my favorite thing I've ever eaten.
my wife: Taylor pork roll is basically just new jersey baloney
me: that's basically grounds for divorce
a fried squash blossom stuffed with corn polenta over a snap pea slaw on a pink plate
Second Course: fried squash blossom stuffed with corn polenta over a spring snap pea slaw with corn aioli, dusted with ash from charred corn husks. fucking incredible.
Walleye 3 ways: walleye cruel, walleye skin chicharron, and walleye roe in ponzu vinaigrette
First course: Walleye crudo with walleye roe in a yuzu vinaigrette and walleye skin chicharron
