Many Americans believe that the system as a whole is rigged against them.

They're right.

Millions of workers are toiling away from their families over the holidays. So thank the workers who serve you. Appreciate the workers who care for you. Respect the workers who pick up your trash. Salute the workers who get you your mail. Pay all workers a living wage.

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

Propaganda in the US tells us that there are long wait times for care in Canada and none in the US. In reality our health care system is dysfunctional and wait times for treatments are often quite long and at times treatment is denied by insurance companies. And we pay for it through the nose.

The law requires ERs to stabilize a patient’s condition before he can be released. It applies to all patients with or without insurance. Once the patient is stabilized he can be thrown back into the street, the anti-wokers dream come true.
