Had to go pay my respects to a legend and personal hero. RIP David Lynch.

Without Mel Brooks hiring Lynch to make THE ELEPHANT MAN — on the strength of ERASERHEAD alone — he is very likely just a guy who made a weird film at AFI. That whole filmography you love doesn’t happen.

We all need sponsors and mentors and patrons. We need people who believe in us.

Who I wanted to be in my professional life is because of David Lynch. He was the singular most important artist to me. I am heartbroken.

Absolutely gutted by this loss. An icon of filmmaking. I imagine he’s enjoying some coffee with Roy Orbison and David Bowie amongst the stars. RIP Legend.

Gutted to hear of David Lynch's passing. At age 10, Twin Peaks messed me up in all the best ways. Forever grateful that I had the opportunity to meet David at his home in 2013 and document him filming Trent Reznor for a NIN video. He was funny and kind. RIP to a legend.
