my factory sealed copy of Sonic Jam on the game com is one of my most precious treasures (I have a loose one I actually play, of course)

really a shame the game was so hated because I think it'd be a great candidate for a Switch 2 upgrade 🤣

exactly! I'm a huge advocate for "PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP BUYING SHIT YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU'LL ENJOY" because when you go into something KNOWING you'll hate it, it's only going to make it worse unless you're completely blown away!

oh yeah, hating the game is absolutely not a problem.

it is NOT a game most people will enjoy. I compare it to a niche experimental indie game, because that's technically what it was revealed as... people just kinda... jumped the gun and expected something very different because of the names.

definitely more power to the people that enjoy the game, but I've been SPOILED by Balans boss design.

truly unfortunate too, because at least from visuals, it's quite an impressive roster (Naoto Oshima on character design REALLY shines through)

By all means the game ain't a universal unsung masterpiece, but it's an average+boring puzzle platformer at WORST.

if the development team having a criminal record meant a game was completely and entirely unplayable... that would knock out a LOT of games 🤣

the demo really doesn't do the game justice

for me, the best part is taking costumes into places they weren't "meant" to be in. Sequence breaking and experimentation MAKE the game for me, which the demo really couldn't present well

not to say you'll 100% enjoy the real thing though! 🤣
