CBS news says “Donald Trump’s return to the White House, along with GOP-controlled Senate and House of Representatives, puts Medicaid on the chopping block.” Nothing new. In 2012 I drew a cartoon of Boehner and Reed pecking away at big budget items, including SS and Medicare.

At President Carter’s request, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood performed “Imagine” by John Lennon at his funeral. I wonder what leaders thought as those words were heard: “Imagine there’s no countries, it isn’t hard to do, nothing to kill or die for…” All living Presidents attended.
