I always thought it was just me! I drive an estate, and SUVs with HID headlights not aligned properly means I get them pointed straight in my eyes. Trains have to have HID headlight alignment checked so they don't blind trackside workers, IMO alignment checks should be added to the MOT for cars.

Books arrived yesterday and already starting volume 3 lolololol... Love discovering the slight differences between the manga and anime - manga dialogue definitely edges it but I'm glad I saw the anime 1st as it makes it a lot easier to follow the fight scenes.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

My Mum sent me an unsolicited message this morning saying she sympathises with Gaza but she thinks the protesters are loathsome (and worse words) and condemns them for protesting on the same day as the attack. You've lost her and I don't know how many others. 🤦‍♀️

I'm not saying stop protesting, but protest smarter.

Every death is a tragedy, whether it's two people or two hundred thousand. You don't get my point - there have been protests every week for over a year, it's not news any more. Delaying the protest by a day could have won more support than the negative press from continuing, and you'd still protest.

Sure, but why not encourage more British Jews to join you as well? Jews who may have Israeli relatives. Better to be together in this. Suffering is not zero sum, I don't think we should say their suffering is not great enough to be acknowledged and show sympathy for 1 day, which is how this looks.

My point is that there's no need to hand them stuff on a silver platter. Unless you are advocating for another country to invade Israel, the only surefire way to stop this is for Israelis to get rid of Netanyahu. Holding the protests yesterday will most likely entrench views against you.
